Pregnant mothers, watch out for this!

Trans fat is linked to bigger babies!

Study has reported in the Journal on pregnant women who has eaten trans fats from foods - such as crackers, daoughnuts, french fries, cookies, pastries, fast food may lead to having bigger babies.

Big babies may have to be delivered by ceasarean and study also found that there is an increased risks of diabetes and heart disease later in life.

Trans fat increases 'bad' cholesterol (LDL) and lower the 'good' cholesterol (HDL), it's also higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Be always on the watch out for the saturated and trans fat in our daily diet.

To control is best to learn moderation when eating your favourite food, that way will be easier than totally avoiding it. Moderate consumption meaning when eating a doughnut or french fries just take one or a handful of serving instead of more than one or the whole cup of french fries.

Best is to take more healthy foods such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables.

The trans fat in:-
* 1 doughnut = 5 grams
* Medium packet of french fries = 9 grams
* 1 candy bar = 3 grams
* 2-3 pieces of cookies = 2 grams
